The Karasay Gold Project comprises three separate licence areas – Karasay, Mezar and Karatagata areas – located approximately 8 km south of the city of Almalyk, in Pskent District, Tashkent Region, and around 70 km southeast of Tashkent.
The Karasay deposit covers an area of 320 hectares and is situated within the Middle Tien Shan mountain belt. It lies just 3 km south of the Kalmakyr and Yoshlik I porphyry deposits, which are recognised as world-class copper deposits with substantial mineral resources due to their favourable geological setting.
The Karasay deposit achieved its first pour in 2025. Today, production is fully underway with ongoing dore sales.
The project benefits from well-developed infrastructure, including 22 kilometres of internal roads, supporting every stage of mining operations. The open-pit mine has been designed to reach a final depth of 411 metres, with a maximum width of 1,252 metres and a length of 3,306 metres.
